Saturday night's barbecue was a big hit. John Bolin was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and we toasted those who were gone, but not forgotten.

On Sunday, families were escorted by USFS, BLM, NPS, and CalFire Honor Guard, to the National Interagency Fire Center where a special recognition ceremony was held for each firefighter. Then a balloon and dove release took place on the grass.

On Saturday, families watched wildland demonstrations at Lucky Peak Nursery. Smokejumpers, a helicopter, Rappellers, and Engines were on hand to tell about their jobs.

Sunday, families attended a special program at NIFC, with a visit to the Monument after.
